Oil & Gas
Minexco Petroleum is a private oil and gas exploration company focused on managing and developing offshore petroleum projects with a focus on Africa.
The Company combines its extensive technical and project management expertise with a strategy of partnering with host country governments and IOCs to identify and obtain low risk, high-quality prospects in areas with proven development opportunities.
Minexco Petroleum demonstrated the success of its partnership model through its agreement with Ghana National Petroleum Corporation (GNPC) where AGM Petroleum, a subsidiary of Minexco Petroleum, was selected through a competitive bid process to become the preferred partner. In December 2013, AGM Petroleum and GNPC received ratification to carry out all petroleum exploration, development and production activities in the South Deepwater Tano Block. In 2017 the block merged ownership with the owners of neighbouring block Aker Energy and oil was spud and found.
In Sierra Leone, Minexco Petroleum expanded their foothold and held an equity interest of an offshore block relinquished by Anadarko, as a result of an oil discovery in a neighbouring block.
Minexco Petroleum, as a completely independent company, was agile enough to take advantage of exciting opportunities and were able to manoeuvre into promising regions ahead of our competitors. The company remains active in their oil and gas exploration and production activities and they have established a significant portfolio of upstream oil and gas ventures across West Africa and northern South America.
